Our first family holiday

So as ye know my husband, son and I went on our first family holiday a few weeks ago, so here is a little review on where we went and stayed.  So luckily we were able to fly from Shannon to Palma in Majorca and we stayed in Sa Coma, very near the beach in an aparthotel Protur Vista Badia

All I can say is we had an amazing week. Staff were super friendly and our apartment was spacious with a fridge freezer, microwave, air-conditioning and a lovely balcony overlooking the pool.  We went all-inclusive this time as thought it was easier having a baby with us but next time I think we would look into half-board as all inclusive is just too much food! lol! There was food served all day long really up until 11pm and the food was good. There were also options for people who had food allergies.

Apart from food, this hotel was really family friendly with a kids club for older children and even games all day around the complex for adults such as archery and board games.  I haven’t been on a package holiday in years as usually go further afield so I was worried after a day or two we may get bored but boy were we wrong.  There was so much on the resort to see and do, including an animal farm, crazy golf, tennis courts, trampolines, a water park for the older kids, a driving range and so much more.  With our all-inclusive we were also allowed eat in each restaurant on the resort once without paying so we had a few evenings out and away from our hotel too.  Our little man was so good and so happy on this holiday with all there was to see and do, he was shattered going to bed every night.

It was a brilliant first holiday with our little boy and couldn’t have asked for more. We were 5 minutes walk to the beach in Sa Coma .  The beginning of May was a great time to go as the place was quiet especially when we were usually in bed by 10.30.

On the last day of our holiday, we treated ourselves to a facial and massage in a nearby beauty spa . We took turns obviously but our treatments were amazing.   I got “The Cure” facial and felt like I had a new face afterwards!

If you are looking for a family holiday which won’t break the bank, short flight, transfers and great accommodation then this is your holiday. We booked through Falcon Travel and they were so reassuring as I was a little anxious bringing our little man on his first flight.
